A guide to use in interpreting the symbolism in dreams, visions and messages
When we have a dream or vision, the things we see can have many meanings. Usually they are symbolic representations of concerns we have in our waking lives that we are subconsciously sorting out. Even when we dream of people that we know they may often just represent a certain aspect of their character, or mirroring of our own character, rather than themselves personally.
Keeping a journal of your dreams, visions and messages can be a great aid in working through issues, enhancing your abilities, and seeing your progress over time. Be sure to note even the smallest of details, especially how you feel at the time.
Pay particular attention to any animals, birds, or creatures you see in your dreams, visions, and even in waking. These are also wonderful symbols of our personal growth, direction, and progress.
The following pages are compiled of lists of some of the animals, birds, elements and items you may come across in your dreams, visions and spiritual quests. Note the list of words for each entry. These are key words to help you identify the basic meaning behind what you have seen. Apply these to what is happening in your life at this time to figure out what your personal messages, objectives, and points of interest may be.
