Wheel of the Year
In many belief systems, there are celebrations that are designed to observe the changes of the seasons and give thanks to the spirits and/or deities that are believed to be responsible for the gifts that are bestowed upon the community and individuals. Every culture has their own system of deities with their own names, personalities, powers and objectives. They each vary in physical description from the other cultures, but initially have quite similar qualities.
Each year is split into eight seasonal observances. Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and each of the four points in-between. The main seasons are sometimes referred to as "quarters", with the in-between points called "cross-quarters". Each page will include a brief description about the astrological sign, energies, alternative names, similar observances, colors, symbols, foods, herbs, flowers, gemstones, tarot cards, rituals, animals, and various names of deities from Celtic, Norse, Roman, Greek, Egyptian, and other various cultures.
