Worshiped by various cultures all over the world for thousands of years, the moon is believed to be the embodiment of feminine energies and the Goddess, herself. Known to affect the ocean tides of Earth, the Moon has been thought to also affect the tides of human emotions. The element of water is directly linked to the depths of emotions, feelings and the imaginative and creative forces. When you begin to take note of the different ways the varying phases of the moon affect your emotions, moods and creativity; you can then begin to plan your endeavors and undertakings in a more synchronized manner to aid in the optimum success of your personal prosperity.
New Moon
The New Moon rises at sunrise. This is the introduction of the waxing phase. The New Moon is the ideal time to form new plans. You may start to feel more alert, insightful, hopeful, expectant, and ready for a change. Rituals at this time may include personal growth and rejuvenation rituals, healings, blessings, and planning for new beginnings and projects.
When a woman can orchestrate her menses to coincide with the new moon, she will be at her peak of fertility and balance with the Earth. This is possible by observing the phases of the moon and how they affect her, while also being aware of her own personal cyclic pattern.

Waxing Crescent Moon
The Waxing Moon is a time for growth, attraction, drawing things to ourselves, healing and expansion. It is a time of The Maiden who teaches of youth, development, and curiosity. Throughout the course of the waxing moon, you may feel increasingly more energetic, confident, creative, open-minded, sociable, and progressive. Rituals throughout this time may include starting new projects, forming new relationships, performing love spells and healing work.
First Quarter Moon
The First Quarter Moon is the halfway point between the New Moon and Full Moon. Actively promoting growth and development continue to be the focus now. The first quarter is an ideal time for working on new projects, planting above-ground crops, pruning plants to encourage growth, cutting hair to encourage growth, and beginning a diet to gain weight.
Waxing Gibbous Moon
The Waxing Gibbous Moon is the last phase before the moon is full. At this time you should be noticing signs of progressive growth in your endeavors. Creativity, inspiration, and motivation will likely be strong at this time. Take advantage of opportunities and situations that arise during this phase.
Full Moon
The Full Moon rises at sunset. This is the introduction of the waning phase. The Full Moon is the perfect time to thrive on projects and experiences; a time when everything is at its peak of power and energy. It is a time of The Mother who teaches about fertility, nurturance, and productivity. You may feel more passionate, stimulated, sensitive, perceptive, and reflective. Rituals may include celebrations, observances, divination, protection, empowerment (of yourself and tools) and Drawing Down The Moon.
When a woman can learn how to orchestrate her menses to coincide with the full moon, she will be at her peak of magical power. This is possible by observing the phases of the moon and how they affect her, while also being aware of her own personal cyclic pattern.

Waning Gibbous Moon
The Waning Gibbous is the first phase after the moon is full. Throughout the course of the waning moon, you may feel increasingly more pensive, tired, detached, and self-aware. It is the time of the Crone who teaches wisdom, experience and patience. The waning gibbous moon is the time to start focusing on what we wish to release from our lives.
Last Quarter Moon
The Last Quarter Moon is the halfway point between the Full Moon and New Moon. This is the time to focus on actively ridding negative aspects from your life and bringing a close to projects, unhealthy relationships, and situations. It is also a perfect time for planting below-ground crops, pruning plants to discourage growth, cutting hair to discourage growth, and beginning a diet to lose weight.
Waning Crescent Moon
The Waning Crescent Moon is the time to wrap up any unfinished projects and loose ends. Rituals may include purifications, cleansings, releasing of negative emotions, ending relationships, shedding outworn states of mind, and banishing of bad habits and diseases.
Dark of The Moon
The Dark of the Moon, the three days prior to the first visible crescent of the New Moon, is the time of The Enchantress aspect of the Goddess, who teaches lessons related to mystery, secret knowledge, invisibility, shapeshifting, and high magic(k). This is a time of deep inner searching and contemplation. You may feel more fatigued, withdrawn, reclusive, secretive, analytical, and obscure. Rituals should include meditations, introspection and learning about inner truths.
Blue Moon
A Blue Moon is a second Full Moon occurring in the same month. It is a great time to set long-terms goals and review accomplishments and/or failures since the last blue moon.
